A Leap Forward for Affordable Housing in Scarborough
Scarborough Interfaith Affordable Housing Association has become a registered charity and is very excited about moving forward in a more concrete manner! SIAHA sprang to life as a result of the Out of the Cold program, now in its sixth season at Knox United Church. The Association’s goal is to purchase a house and provide a supported home to four or five formerly homeless individuals.
The first Annual General Meeting of Scarborough Interfaith Affordable Housing Association will be held on Tuesday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Knox United Church, 2569 Midland Avenue (northeast corner of Midland and Sheppard) in Scarborough. All are welcome to come and learn more about SIAHA and its affordable, supportive housing initiative, to become a member, and/or make a contribution.
